Ross Castle


Ross Castle is a folly built in 1863 by MS&L Railway Company to attract tourists to Cleethorpes. Today the castle is a handy viewpoint from which to see the promenade, beech and pier at Cleethorpes.

Geek fact: Lincoln Castle is unusual in that it has two mottes. Only Lewes Castle in Sussex is similarly well endowed.
