Another one from yesterday. In the background are steel supports for a footbridge: the old one was removed and its replacement is expected this summer.

Valentine's Day, a photo by lincoln_eye on Flickr.

A Valentine's Day offer from the Magna Carta pub at the top of Steep Hill, Lincoln (T's and C's apply).

The gold postbox is to honour local paralympian gold medalist horse rider Sophie Wells.

In the background is Lincoln castle, partially shrouded in scaffolding. Lincoln Castle is home to a copy of the Magna Carta that dates back to the original created in 1215 CE.

Grey and cold today. Very little sign that it snowed yesterday morning - most of that melted yesterday afternoon.

The Chinese Year of the Snake starts tomorrow. No red lanterns in the usual location, so this was the best imagery on offer this morning. Uphill Lincoln.

River Maun

River Maun
River Maun, a photo by lincoln_eye on Flickr.

The R Maun gives Mansfield its name. In this part of Mansfield, the R Maun flows in a deep channel just the other side of the railings. Perhaps those buildings are old mill houses?

Just off Bridge St, Mansfield.
