The memorial stage at the front of the picture is dedicated to Mick Ronson, who was a Hull-born guitarist most notable for being David Bowie's principal Spider from Mars in the early 1970s. Ronson also enjoyed solo success and played with and produced a diverse range of other artists such as Ian Hunter, David Cassidy and Morrissey.

This is another entry in the modern beach hut competition featured in the Mablethorpe annual Bathing Beauties Festival, 2007. At the top of the hut a lens swivels around and projects an image of the outside onto a table within.

Previously, I posted images of 2 other huts in the competition.

Please do not adjust your eyes, it's all a bit skew whiff.

This is a timber frame manor house dating from 1460. The authentic interior is notable for its large dining hall, great staircase and medievel kitchen. Visitors are invited to exit via the Gift Shop.

"Masters of Vision" is the name of a free exhibition of excellent photography showing at Southwell Minster until 30 August. Really worth a visit. The Minster and surrounds are quite nice too.

Come Up And See Me

Come Up And See MeCome Up And See Me, a photo by lincoln_eye on Flickr.
"Come Up and See Me" is the name of this beach hut designed by Mancunian, Michael Trainor, for the modern beach hut competition featured in the Mablethorpe annual Bathing Beauties Festival, 2007. This hut is inspired by a gin and tonic: two light tubes are shaped as straws and a decorative "wheel" represents a lemon or lime placed on the side of the glass, cocktail-style.

"Eyes Wide sHut" won the beach hut competition.
